Mediterranean Pizza
With artichoke hearts and feta, slices of red onion and flavorful roasted garlic chicken sausage. It's a light and delicious pizza!
Ingredients
- 3 Roasted Garlic Chicken Sausages (or other chicken sausage), sliced in half lengthwise and then cut into slices
- Drizzle of Olive Oil
- 1 Prepared Pizza Dough
- 1 cup Grated Mozzarella Cheese
- 1 can Artichoke Hearts, drained and quartered
- 1/4 Red Onion, sliced thinly
- 1/4 cup Crumbled Feta Cheese
- Chopped Parsley, for garnish
Instructions
Get your oven preheating to 450 degrees F with a pizza stone or steel.
Sauté the chicken sausage slices with a drizzle of olive oil over medium heat until the sausage develops some browning, about 4 minutes. Stir the sausage slices occasionally for even browning. Let the sausage cool before topping pizza.
Roll, spin or stretch your dough out to about a 12-inch round. Start with a layer of the grated mozzarella. Then top that with the roasted garlic sausage.
Next, add the artichoke hearts. Then, the red onion slices.
Top it off with crumbled feta and we are ready for the oven!
Bake the pizza for 10-15 minutes, until the crust is puffy and golden and the cheese is melted and begins to brown around the edges.
When it comes out of the oven, sprinkle the top with fresh chopped parsley.
