Mulled Wine
Simple to prepare, this quick Mulled Wine is beautifully flavored and scented with clove, cinnamon and star anise.
Ingredients
- 1 750-ml. Bottle Red Wine
- 1/4 cup Honey
- 1 Orange, sliced into rounds
- 3 Cinnamon Sticks, plus more for garnish
- 6 Whole Cloves
- 4 Star Anise Pods, plus more for garnish
Instructions

In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, combine the wine, honey, cinnamon sticks, cloves and star anise pods.

Reserve a few orange rounds and slice them in half for garnishing each serving. Add the rest of the orange slices to the saucepan.

Bring to a low simmer and let simmer for 10 minutes.

Turn off the heat and let the Mulled Wine steep and cool slightly, for about 5 minutes.

Serve in mugs with orange slice, a cinnamon stick and a star anise pod.
