Pepperoni Ricotta Pizza

A simple pie that packs a flavor punch. Pepperoni, mozzarella and red onion slices with dollops of ricotta, honey, red pepper flakes and basil leaves.

Ingredients

  • 1 Prepared Pizza Dough
  • 1 cup Low Moisture Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1/4 Red Onion, sliced thin
  • Dollops of Ricotta Cheese
  • Honey
  • Red Pepper Flakes
  • Fresh Basil Leaves

Instructions

Preheat your oven with a pizza stone or steel to 425 degrees F. Spin, stretch or roll your prepared pizza to to about 12-inches round. Sprinkle grated low moisture mozzarella over the pizza and top with pepperoni and red onion slices.

Bake the pizza for 10-15 minutes, until the dough is puffed and golden, the cheese is melted, bubbly and browning in spots.

Pull the pie from the oven and top the hot pie with dollops of room-temperature ricotta cheese. Drizzle on some honey. Sprinkle on some red pepper flakes if you like and top with fresh basil leaves.
